A family-run business of service and trust for our valued customers.
"We believe every customer is our boss, and we treat each one with respect and fairness." Ethelee Wright
Wright's Jewelry was founded in 1937 by Loy Wright, and was limited to one showcase and a watchmaker's bench located in a rented corner of a Fallston, NC hardware store. After moving to a rented building across the street, and before Loy's death from muscular dystrophy in 1944, his brother Harvey Wright joined the store. Harvey operated it until his death in 1962, of muscular dystrophy also. The younger half-brother, Cecil Wright started working there full time after his high school graduation in 1945. In the mid 1960's, Cecil and his wife Ethelee bought the store from Harvey's widow. Later they moved the business to its third location one block north on highway 18. Their son-in-law, Jimmy Lee, who joined the store after graduating UNC in 1972, became a partner in 1992. In 1985, when Cecil constructed a new building at 4911 Fallston Road, the store occupied its current and fourth location in Fallston. Cecil lost his fifteen-year battle with cancer in January 2000, and Ethelee and Jimmy, with their employees, continue the family tradition of service to our valued customers.
"Our goal is to provide unsurpassed customer service with quality merchandise at unbeatable prices."
